Physiotherapist’s Review: Why I Chose to Join the Development of the Bed Roller
TL;DR Summary
The Bed Roller is a physiotherapist-approved home massage tool that solves the biggest problem with foam rolling: it’s too painful and too difficult for most people. By using gravity and a relaxed lying position, it delivers deep, adjustable pressure similar to manual therapy — without strain or effort. It helps loosen stiff muscles and joints in the back, hips, and thighs, improves mobility, and makes it easier to build a consistent self-care routine. Safe, durable, and user-friendly, the Bed Roller is one of the most effective ways to relieve muscle tension and prepare the body for everyday activity.
Why I Joined the Development of the Bed Roller
When I was invited to help develop the Bed Roller, I had no doubts.
During my 15 years as a physiotherapist, I have recommended traditional foam rollers to many of my patients so they could release tight muscles and joints at home. The problem has always been the same: most people find regular foam rolling too painful, too heavy, or simply too difficult — and as a result, they give up quickly.
A More Accessible and Effective Way to Loosen Muscles and Joints
The Bed Roller finally solves this. It allows anyone to use a roller while staying completely relaxed. Its versatility is much greater: from hips and thighs to rolling comfortably all the way up the spine. With our custom-designed back roller, the Bed Roller becomes an extremely effective tool for releasing stiff muscles and tight joints at home.
When it comes to self-treatment of the back, there is nothing on the market that comes close to the Bed Roller in terms of ease of use and effectiveness. This makes it much easier for people to build a routine — which significantly increases the chances of reducing back issues they may have struggled with for years.
Supporting Exercise and Providing Manual-Therapy-Like Pressure
As a physiotherapist, my job is to understand why people are in pain, where the problem comes from, and which measures we should put in place. Exercise is essential, but many are so stiff or in so much pain that they struggle to get started. That’s why the Bed Roller is the perfect supplement: it loosens muscles and joints and prepares the body for training — without being too painful, too demanding, or overwhelming.
Using the Bed Roller applies mechanical pressure to muscles and joints similar to what you receive from a physiotherapist, chiropractor, or manual therapist — as long as no electrical devices are used. What makes the Bed Roller unique is that you control the pressure, allowing you to relax in a completely different way. And since you lie on your back with your knees bent — a natural resting position — the treatment becomes gentle, comfortable, and highly effective. This lying position also gives the spine room to mobilize, without being compressed against a bench like it often is during manual treatment.
Safe, Durable, and Adaptable for Individual Needs
The Bed Roller is safe, durable, and built to last. It helps keep your muscles soft, mobile, and ready for training, gardening, or whatever activities you want to enjoy. Throughout my career, I have helped people improve their back, hips, and knees — and with the Bed Roller, you have a tool at home that makes that process much easier.
Thighs, glutes, and back muscles can all be treated with the Bed Roller at your own pace, with exactly the pressure that feels right for you — all while staying relaxed. I strongly recommend the Bed Roller as a simple, powerful, and effective way to take care of your body and prepare it for everyday demands.
